It sounds simple, until you get to about the 10th level and get to birds that are nearly impossible to kill without a certain type of gun. The more stuff you hit and the longer you stay off the ground the more money you get. He called last night, and as usual, his drunk ramblings were incredibly painful and thought provoking. Like always, he said that he never loved me, and I actually got an explanation out of him for breaking up with me (FINALLY, it's been more than a year!). But he kept asking why he still called me. I theorized that he still was in to me, and that he was trying to hold on to what he has lost. He refuted that, and said that he was glad that I didn't come back to him when he wanted me to, because now I'm happy and I have Matt. He said that he's glad I have Matt, because Matt can help me with all of my problems that he couldn't ever help me with. And then he asked me why he still called me. <br /><br />Maybe it's for the same reason that every once in a while I still read Hal's blog. There aren't any leftover romantic feelings or residual guilt, and I don't want to get back with him. He's happy, and I'm happy, and it's good. But I can't help longing to see him again, because I just want to be friends. I think that would have been there even if we never dated though, because it was like that whenever he would come visit crew practice or Hitchy's classroom. He was a mentor. I looked up to him with adoration, not because I wanted to get with him, but because he was kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. As of 8:30pm MT December 15, 2008, there is an official police report describing what exactly happened on July 24, 2007. I'm also attempting to get a restraining order because he keeps contacting me even after I have asked him several times to stop. (But when has Ray ever stopped when I asked him to? That's why he's in trouble in the first place.) So, yay. This is going to be literally the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life, and if I can keep going with this, I'm going to have to face him in court. If I just settle for the restraining order, I may still have to face him. This is going to be so so so hard, and having Matt leave for bootcamp in 2 weeks and being gone for the hardest part of this is going to be the hardest part. It's kind of a good feeling, knowing that I have the ability to make his life living hell in the palms of my hands. The only thing I regret about this whole situation is not doing this sooner. Maybe there are girls that he has done this to since then that I might have been able to protect if I had tried to put him in jail sooner. I don't know. I just know that I have to do this to get closure.
