I got a JU catalog today. I haven't been this excited about a college since I saw SCAD's catalog. I think SCAD may get a run for it's money.

So, Lucy Leusch is amazing. She is the lady that sends me emails from Oglethorpe, which makes her pretty cool anyways, because I don't get very much mail from my friends. (I know, I know, you're busy. I understand.) What makes her even more amazing is that she looked up my file to see if I had been admitted and thereby subsided the tidal wave of panic that was sweeping over me. She sent me an email letting me know that I had in fact been admitted, and that I should expect my admission letter soon. Lo and behold, when I checked the mail today, I found this beauty:
"Dear Sierra,
Congratulations! On behalf of everyone at Oglethorpe University, I am very pleased to offer you admission for the fall term 2008. We send you special congratulations because this year's applicant pool was particularly competitive. Among this talented group of high school students from all of the world your accomplishments and potential stood out to our admission committee. The class of 2012 promises to continue Oglethorpe's long tradition of enrolling intellectually curious, diverse and driven students who come here to work with a top-ranked faculty in an amazing city.

One of the things we think makes OU so special is the ability each student has here to make his or her mark. We see that potential in you and we are looking forward to the contributions you will make. We look forward to the contributions you will make. Again, congratulations on your acceptance. We look forward to welcoming you to the Oglethorpe University community,
Sincerely,
Lucy Leusch"
If that isn't the most awesome admission letter in the history of the universe, I don't know what is. Lucy Leusch is my new personal hero.
